Ironia PTA - Year End Updates & Announcements

The email you are reading is the last Ironia PTA Sunday blast for the 2010-2011 school!  Thank you for allowing us to use email tool as an efficient and effective communication tool to reach all families in a timely manner.  The PTA will be going green next year as we discontinue our printed newsletter and rely solely on email and our website.  We appreciate your support with this change.

 

The final PTA meeting of the year was held on Wednesday, June 15.  As you know, as of August 1, 2011, we will officially be operating as the Ironia PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization).  There will be no visible difference except for the "O" in PTOWe are proud to announce and welcome the newly elected, inaugural board of the Ironia PTO:

Ironia Yearbook Sale & Distribution

All pre-purchased Ironia yearbooks will be distributed on Tuesday, June 21.  Please note that if your child did not purchase a yearbook but would like to do so, a limited number of books will be available for sale beginning on Tuesday.  Yearbooks will be on sale on Tuesday and Wednesday morning in the cafeteria from 8:30 am - 9:00 am for $22.00.  (NOTEPayment must be made with exact change or by check - checks should be made payable to the Ironia PTA).  If you have any questions, please contact Yearbook Chairperson Laurie Holtlaurieholt@me.com.

What's Happening Inside Ironia - Year End Events

 

Cafeteria/Lunch Menu Changes - June 2011

Please note the following Ironia cafeteria menu for the final week of school:

 

Monday, 6/20:  breakfast specials

Tuesday, 6/21:  popcorn chicken -or- hot dog

Wednesday, 6/22:  pizza -or- fish patty

*NOTE:  The cafeteria will also offer chicken salad (while supplies last), yogurt and PB&J.

 

5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony - Monday, June 20

The 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 20 at 9:30 am in the Ironia gym.  Please note that due to safety reasons and space limitations, each student may have only two guests attend.  If you have any questions, please contact the Ironia main office:  (973)584-8588.

Final Whole School Meeting - Tuesday, June 21

The final whole school meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at 9:30 am in the Ironia gym.  Please note that 4th and 5th grade students will lead the meeting together.

 

Last Day of School - Wednesday, June 22

The last day of school for all students will be Wednesday, June 22.  All students will be dismissed at 1:38 pm.  AM students will ride home on the bus at 1:38 pm.  PM kindergarten will be cancelled.

Board of Education (BOE) Meeting - Tuesday, June 28

The Randolph Township BOE will have a meeting on Tuesday, June 28 (business session) in the Randolph High School (RHS) library.  The meeting will begin at 7:15 pm with a closed session, opening to the public at 8:00 pm.  The meeting schedule for the 2011-2012 school year is now available on the district website:

Thank you for another successful school year!  If you have questions throughout the summer, please feel free to contact the PTA/PTO.  We will be checking in periodically and will do our best to respond in a timely manner.

 

For the families who will be leaving us as their children move to RMS and for those of you who will be moving, we wish you the best of luck.  We hope that you will look back at your days at Ironia and smile and know that you made a difference.  We noticed, we remember and we appreciate it!
